After driving the roads for the last couple of hours and discussing with our admin team and the City of Ennis we are going to cancel school on Wednesday, January 28th
The major roadways are improving, but will refreeze tonight. Additionally, many of our county roads and neighborhood streets will not be ready for bus traffic in the morning.
Stay safe and warm with your family and we look forward to welcoming you all back on Thursday, January 29th.

We are actively monitoring road conditions and icy areas and will make a decision regarding Wednesday’s schedule no later than 5:00 PM today. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this weather event. The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our top priority.

Due to weather concerns, all EISD schools will be closed on Monday, January 26th. We will continue to closely monitor weather and road conditions and will communicate a decision regarding any Tuesday changes by 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
